Supporting New Groups

Interested in setting up a new community group on your estate? Want to work with others to help strengthen your community?

We can help. RotherFed will help you get started, from organising your first event or meeting to providing a range of services and support once your group is up and running. We can help you organise your first event, activity or meeting and help you promote it within your local community and provide support to get other people involved.

One of our staff or volunteers can meet up with you, help you organise and fund your initial event. This might be a litter pick, a community social or a small meeting. This could involve helping produce and distribute posters or paying for use of a local community room. Once your group is up and running, RotherFed could support your group to help you strengthen your community.

Subject to our charitable objects, such help may include various grants including  environmental grants to help improve your estate, free support and examination of your accounts and DBS (criminal records) checks for your members. By becoming involved with us, you will also get the opportunity to network and meet with other groups and receive free one to one support and training.
