Working together for greener neighbourhoods, warmer homes and stronger communities
Making a difference to our communities together
Focusing on 3 areas (Wath Upon Dearne, East Herringthorpe, and Dinnington) this pilot project is here to help local people, community groups and organisations take positive action on climate change in ways that make a real difference where they live.
Whether you have an idea for improving your neighbourhood, want to make your home warmer and more energy efficient, or would like to help shape local priorities, Rotherham Federation’s community team is available to support you.
We can help you to:
- Turn ideas into action – Support for individuals, community groups and local organisations to develop and deliver their own projects that tackle climate change and benefit the community.
- Reduce energy bills and improve home comfort – Access professional advice and guidance on saving energy, improving home energy efficiency and making homes warmer and more affordable to run.
- Have your say – Join conversations and community events that bring people together to discuss what matters most locally and help shape climate action that reflects the needs and priorities of your community.
Why get involved?
Together we can create practical, locally led solutions that:
- Reduce carbon emissions.
- Lower household energy costs.
- Improve health and wellbeing.
- Strengthen community connections.
- Create greener, more resilient neighbourhoods for everyone.
Everyone has a part to play. Whatever your experience or background, we’d love to hear from you.
